WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
As Category Manager for Indirect Spend at Oatly, you will lead the global sourcing strategy for corporate services categories such as consulting, travel, facility management, and finance and lease. Your mission is to build and implement category strategies from the ground up, driving supplier performance, cost optimization, and long-term value through strategic partnerships. But this role is not only about setting the strategic direction – it’s also about making it real. You’ll be hands-on with spend management (including data validation and process development), supplier selection and negotiations, and operational execution. You thrive in a dynamic, global environment, collaborate closely with stakeholders, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to make things happen.
Here’s the main elements of the role...
- Develop and lead global sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories and build category plans from the ground up.
- Drive supplier performance, cost optimization, and value creation through strategic sourcing, TCO analysis, and strong supplier partnerships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders (e.g. Finance, HR, Legal, Travel, Business Units) to ensure sourcing strategies align with business needs and compliance standards.
- Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, onboarding, and performance management, ensuring alignment with legal, financial, and operational requirements.
- Establish governance frameworks, sourcing policies, KPIs, and performance tracking to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor market trends and supplier landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation, risk mitigation, and cost savings.
- Provide additional sourcing support for other indirect categories as needed.
But, you know. These are just the things we can think of right now! This might be the job today, but tomorrow brings more change, so being light on your feet and willing to embrace the unknown is a verrrrrry big help.
In this role, you will report into Director of Indirect Sourcing and the location for this role is at Malmo HQ.
