Head of Logistics Operations Europe
Lead Oatly’s European logistics operations, grow a high-performing team, and shape scalable, sustainable ways of working across markets during an exciting period of change.
Hello potential future Oatly employee
It's us. The original oat drink company. At Oatly, we're on a mission to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet's resources in the process.
Sustainability, health, and transparency aren't just things we talk about. They're the principles behind every decision we make. We're proud to be recognised as the world's first Climate Solutions food and beverage company. We also happen to make some pretty delicious drinks.
But creating change takes more than great products.
It takes leaders who can build strong teams, navigate complexity, make sound decisions at speed, and create the conditions for people to do their best work. As Oatly continues to grow across Europe and international markets, we're strengthening our logistics organization to ensure we remain agile, scalable, and ready for the future.
If you're passionate about developing people, driving operational excellence, and shaping the future of logistics in a purpose-driven company, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
We're looking for a Head of Logistics Operations Europe to lead our internal logistics operations across Europe.
This is a newly created leadership role reporting to the Director Global Logistics, designed to strengthen our logistics capability during an exciting period of growth and transformation. You'll be the operational voice of Logistics across the business, leading a team based in Malmö while ensuring smooth and efficient warehousing and transportation operations across multiple European markets.
In your first year, success will mean becoming the trusted go-to person for logistics operations, strengthening team performance, creating clarity and structure, and building a high-performing organization ready to support Oatly's continued growth.
In this role, you will:
Lead and develop Oatly's European Logistics Operations team, creating an environment where people can grow, perform, and thrive.
Own day-to-day logistics execution across Europe, covering warehousing, transportation, operational performance, and escalations.
Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, driving quick decisions and effective resolution across markets and functions.
Represent Logistics in cross-functional forums and collaborate closely with Planning, Customer Operations, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Commercial teams and Markets.
Drive performance management through clear KPIs, operational reviews, budget accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strengthen processes, ways of working, and operational capabilities to support Oatly's ambitious growth plans.
Partner closely with colleagues responsible for supplier management, exports, and logistics development to create a seamless logistics operation.
Ensure logistics operations consistently meet service, OTIF, quality, food safety, cost, and sustainability requirements.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE
You are an experienced logistics leader who enjoys balancing strategy with execution. You're just as comfortable discussing long-term improvement opportunities as you are rolling up your sleeves to solve an urgent operational issue.
You combine operational expertise with exceptional people leadership and know how to create engagement, accountability, and momentum within teams. You enjoy complexity, thrive in a dynamic environment, and bring a calm, solutions-oriented approach when challenges arise.
We're looking for someone who brings:
10+ years of experience within logistics operations, supply chain, transportation, warehousing, or a related field.
Proven leadership experience, including leading and developing teams in complex operational environments.
Strong experience managing logistics operations across multiple European markets.
The ability to move seamlessly between operational detail and strategic thinking.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage both operational teams and senior business leaders.
Experience driving performance, governance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Strong decision-making skills and the confidence to act in fast-paced situations.
A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
Fluency in English.
Bonus points if you've worked in food & beverage, FMCG, or similarly complex supply chain environments and understand the realities of managing logistics across multiple markets and customer requirements.
WHY JOIN OATLY
This is an opportunity to join Oatly at a pivotal moment in our growth journey.
You'll have the chance to shape a newly created leadership role, build capabilities for the future, develop a talented team, and have a direct impact on how we serve customers across Europe. You'll be part of a purpose-led company where sustainability, innovation, and doing things differently are more than buzzwords. They're how we work every day.
Finally, we hope that you share our values and have a great interest to carry out our mission in order to make the world a little bit better.
