Global Mobility Specialist at Oatly
Help people move the world with Oatly: lead global mobility, guide international assignments, and shape thoughtful, compliant processes for a growing global team.
Hello potential future Oatly employee
It's us. The original oat drink company. At Oatly, we're on a mission to make it easier for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet's resources. Simple as that.
We’re determined on being part of the discussion on the long-term future of the food and beverage industry. To keep this movement going, we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the Oatly flowing.
Sustainability, nutritional health and trust are at the heart of what we do. We are building a culture that constantly upgrades each other so we can upgrade the planet. This is a company that shows great respect and a fearless approach to make positive change. Does this feel exciting? Well, this is where you come in.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
Global Mobility is part of Oatly's Global Rewards team and enables international moves across our markets, including relocations, assignments, commuter arrangements, work permits, and cross-border tax and social security compliance. Working closely with People Business Partners, business leaders, Finance, Legal, Payroll and external partners, the team ensures every move is compliant, well-coordinated and supported from start to finish.
While mobility volumes are relatively small, each case is unique and requires sound judgement, stakeholder management and attention to detail. From work permits and commuter tracking to invoices and tax authorizations, success comes from balancing operational excellence with a people-focused approach.
As Oatly continues to mature and evolve its People function, this role offers the opportunity to shape mobility processes, strengthen vendor partnerships, improve reporting and drive projects that support future growth.
Manage global immigration processes for assignees and new hires, including work permits, business visas, right-to-work compliance, and permit renewals, while supporting Talent Acquisition on mobility eligibility and compliance matters.
Lead end-to-end coordination of international and domestic relocations and assignments, from cost estimation and assignment package design through to logistics, housing, schooling, and settling-in support.
Coordinate tax, social security, and payroll compliance for Oatly's mobile population, including A1 certificates, SINK processes, cross-border payroll, shadow payroll, and benefits alignment in partnership with external tax providers.
Make the complex world of cross-border tax and social security easier for others to understand by working confidently with external tax advisors, translating technical calculations into clear business language, and bringing a practical, well-reasoned point of view that helps leaders make good decisions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assignees, HR, and business leaders throughout the assignment lifecycle, providing guidance on mobility policies, assignment structures, and cross-border employment matters.
Build and manage relationships with external mobility partners across immigration, relocation, tax, and insurance, ensuring high service quality, cost control, and effective collaboration.
Oversee the operational and administrative backbone of global mobility, including invoices, purchase orders, cross-charging, assignment documentation, registrations, authorization lists, mobility data, and compliance reporting.
Drive continuous improvement across mobility policies, processes, and reporting, while contributing to broader Rewards initiatives and People Operations projects.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE
We're looking for someone who enjoys combining structure, compliance and people support. You build trust through clear communication, strong collaboration and a genuine commitment to delivering a great employee experience.
You'll thrive in this role if you're comfortable working in a changing environment, enjoy solving complex problems and can balance attention to detail with good judgement. You take ownership, ask thoughtful questions and aren't afraid to challenge existing ways of working when there's a better solution.
Most importantly, you're someone who can manage both the day-to-day operational details and the bigger picture, helping us continue to develop and improve how Oatly approaches global mobility.
Other key competencies & experiences:
A background in HR, Global Mobility, Tax, or a related field, combined with 5+ years of hands-on experience in global mobility, immigration, and/or cross-border tax and compliance.
Strong Excel skills and general confidence in the Microsoft Office suite. You know how to build trackers and processes that people actually use.
Fluent in written and spoken English, with professional working proficiency in Swedish.
Strong working knowledge of EU Posted Worker requirements, A1 certificates, SINK processes and related cross-border compliance topics. You do not need to be the technical expert on every rule, but you should be confident interpreting advice from external specialists, understanding when these rules may apply, and guiding the business on practical risks, obligations and next steps.
Experience working in a global, matrixed organization and collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, simplify processes, and drive change in a practical way.
