Junior (Field) Account Manager Out of Home
Across the world people’s consumption habits and diets are evolving to be more plant-based. Enter Oatly, the #1 oat based dairy alternative producer in the world with products spanning multiple categories.
Oatly is the world's first and largest oat drink company, making it easy for people to upgrade their lives without recklessly taxing the planet's resources.
We’re determined on being part of the discussion on the long-term future of the food and beverage industry. To keep this movement going, we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the Oatly flowing.
Sustainability, nutritional health and trust are at the heart of what we do. We are building a culture that constantly upgrades each other so we can upgrade the planet. This is a company that shows great respect and a fearless approach to make positive change. Does this feel exciting? Well, this is where you come in.
The Role
At Oatly, we sit at the intersection of taste and culture. We’re helping shape the next wave of global menus and beverage trends, partnering with the people, places, and ideas redefining how the world drinks.
We’re looking for someone deeply passionate about beverages, taste trends, and the evolving food service scene. Someone plugged into horeca culture, curious about what’s next, and excited to help bring Oatly’s taste strategy to life through the right partnerships, collaborations, and customer experiences.
You’ll help grow Oatly’s presence across the Out of Home market by identifying opportunities, building strong industry relationships, and creating new, culturally relevant ways for people to experience our products. From specialty coffee and cafés to bars, bakeries, and trend-setting hospitality concepts - you know the scene, the people, and where culture is moving next.
This role is about more than sales. It’s about helping deliver Oatly’s mission: making it easy for people to eat and drink better while promoting healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources.
We want someone proactive, connected, commercially driven, and creatively curious - someone who can spot trends early, turn ideas into action, and help Oatly show up in exciting ways across the food and beverage world.
Here are the main elements of the role...
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Amsterdam OOH landscape.
You are out in the field day in, day out, conducting frequent visits to stay closely connected to market developments and customer needs. You go, get things done, and achieve your targets.
Build and maintain a strong network within the horeca and coffee scene.
Map and manage your network in Oatly’s CRM system, ensuring structured and effective prospecting.
Support Oatly events and brand activations to maximize visibility and impact.
Meet and exceed sales targets while actively championing Oatly’s values.
But, you know, these are just the things we can think of right now. This might be the job today, but tomorrow will bring new opportunities and challenges. Being adaptable, curious, and ready to embrace the unknown will be a verrrrrrry big advantage.
Who You Are
To be successful in this role, it’s all about enthusiasm, mindset, and motivation. You are result-oriented and a proactive hunter: You don’t wait > you identify opportunities and act fast.. You are socially confident, charismatic, and persuasive, with the ability to connect with people at all levels.
Extra points if you already have some experience in sales within Out-of-Home, field sales, or FMCG in general, but we are more than happy to teach you. If you love connecting with people, building relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, then this is your opportunity.
What is essential:
Fluency in English and Dutch
You live in Amsterdam (or very close by) and know the city like the back of your hand. A strong network and/or deep connection to Amsterdam is essential.
You have a valid driver’s license. While you can use our cool cargo bike in the city, there may be times when driving a car is necessary when public transport is not an option.
To be the perfect fit for Oatly, we believe you have a strong curiosity and a continuous drive to learn. You are results-driven, act with high integrity, and adopt a hands-on approach, even in times of rapid change. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Finally, we hope you share our values and are excited to contribute to our mission of making the world a little bit better.
YOUR APPLICATION
Phew! Well done if you’ve got this far. We’re glad we’ve still got your attention because we’ve got one last super important point to make.
Another bulleted list felt redundant, so we wrote this long sentence with all the ways we sweeten the deal to work with us: 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), an awesome office (with amazing cappoatccinos) in the Jordaan, cost free pension plan, bike plan, vitality allowance, tools to maintain mental and psychical wellbeing and many more.
Last day of application: 27th of May.
We treat all candidates equally: If you are interested, please apply through our application system - any correspondence should come from there. This will ensure that the candidate experience is smooth and fair to everyone!
[As you can probably tell, we’re a norm-breaking company. For us, diversity and differences are an obvious asset. We know that amazing candidates can sometimes be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box, and that makes us really sad. So please trust your gut and pop in your application if it’s feeling right. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, let’s do this together! It will be fun!]
Love Oatly XOXO
