WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

As our Global Director, Quality & Food Safety, you will be the driving force behind ensuring world class quality and food safety across all Oatly facilities and global projects. You’ll shape the processes, methods, and tools that safeguard the integrity of our products and enable our teams to deliver excellence every day.

Reporting to the Global Q&RA VP, you’ll collaborate closely with fellow Quality Directors as well as partners across Science & Technology, Innovation, Business Technology, and Engineering & Automation. Your leadership will support the team that works with alignment across regions, ensuring best practices are shared, standards are upheld, and compliance is embedded in every step we take.

You will empower your team to define and continuously elevate standards and requirements within Quality Excellence, food safety, QA/QC processes, microbiology, Crisis management and quality-related IT systems.

Here’s the main elements of the role...

• Champion Lean and OPEX methodologies to strengthen the Oatly Way of Working and drive operational excellence in quality

• Serve as a global expert in issue resolution and root cause analysis, leading Oatly through critical challenges when they arise

• Bring deep expertise in manufacturing processes and quality management systems

• Contribute as an active member of the Q&RA Management Team

• Lead and inspire the Q&FS team with strategic development

• Establish clear standards and support sites in maintaining global compliance with all internal and external quality and food safety requirements.

• Govern and elevate Quality & Food Safety performance across the organization

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE

You bring senior leadership expertise and at leasst 5+ years of experience in food industry process manufacturing or quality assurance in a process-driven environment. You thrive in matrix organizations and have hands‑on experience from production sites where collaboration, clarity, and continuous improvement are the keys to success.

Other key competencies & experiences:

• B.S./MSc within quality with a focus on quality and/or food safety, or other relevant equivalent education

• Proven expertise in production and process quality management

• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement systems: Six Sigma, Lean, TPM, WCM

• Experience with BRCGS or other GFSI standards
