WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
As our Process Engineering Manager, within the specialist field CIP (Clean in Place), you will develop, improve, and drive the implementation of the Site Design Standard for CIP process across the entire Sustainable Operation (SO) network globally.
You will belong to our Global Engineering team and be responsible for the process design in Capex and innovation projects, mainly focusing on CIP design and optimization as subject matter expert. In addition, you will drive improvements together with our factories to optimize our CIP-process.
Here’s the main elements of the role...
- Support and enable the business by delivering engineering work, meeting set targets aligned with the overall Sustainable Operations strategy for business impact.
- Participate and lead activities during all phases of the project, from design to commissioning and startup.
- The role focuses on engineering design work and execution to improve efficiency for Oatly's installed assets and improve sustainability, safety, quality, work environment, and much more.
- Lead the CIP Engineering network of CIP experts across Operations to facilitate the sharing of best practices, spread knowledge, and solve problems together.
- Approving new technologies within the core competence according to Oatly standards, EU, US, Asia, and other local laws/regulations.
But, you know. These are just the things we can think of right now! This might be the job today, but tomorrow brings more change, so being light on your feet and willing to embrace the unknown is a verrrrrry big help.
In this role, you will report into our Global Director Engineering, and the location for this role is Landskrona. International travels to different manufacturing locations are required. In this role, you will be traveling 50-60 days per year and be away up to 1-2 weeks.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE
You have an advanced degree in Chemical Engineering (food, pharma, biotechnology or equivalent). We also believe that you have at least 5-7 years of process design within Food, Pharma, FMCG, preferably in brewery or plant-based product production.
Other key competencies & experiences:
- Strong knowledge of the food production/food process industry and proven knowledge of food processing technology, hygienic design, and CIP validation and optimization.
- Good knowledge of instruments supporting the digitalization of the CIP process.
- Experience in thermodynamics, mass balance, heat and momentum transfer, and basic knowledge in chemical reactions.
