Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden back 30 or so years ago.

The Role
We’ve got an exciting opportunity for Oatly in Manchester! This role, in particular, will be to call on sites across the city: from coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants, to potentially convenience stores, bars and event spaces – to sell in Oatly to businesses that don’t already have it, or help support sites that do with activations or education. You’ll need to know Manchester like the back of your hand, love being out and about, talking to customers, learning about their businesses and thinking of ways Oatly can help them grow.
Here's some of what the day-to-day could look like...
- Be out and about every day calling on sites in Manchester – those sites will mostly be coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants but there may be more.
- Identify sites that don’t currently stock Oatly and pitch the Oatly dream to them, helping them become a stockist
- Have conversations on pricing and run a simple price negotiations to agree new listings.
- Build relationships with sites that already stock Oatly, and work with them to find ways to sell even more based on a toolkit we'll provide you.
- Run simple events for sites, such as drinks giveaways or tastings.
- Attend industry and community events to learn about the industry and help make Oatly part of it.
- Over time, become an expert on the world of coffee, other hot drinks, and cold drinks containing milk. You'll understand the customers operating in these areas and be tuned in to the very latest drinks trends.
- Maintain a call file for all of your customers – we’ll provide you with the database and the tool, you’ll just need to log all of your activity, upcoming plans and customer feedback.
Who You Are

- You've got a full UK driving licence and you're based in Manchester.
- You’ll start a conversation with anyone, and you really enjoy building relationships.
- You love being out and about, visiting customers, talking to new people, and getting stuff done.
- You’re comfortable (once taught) doing simple commercial maths – like how to calculate margin.
- You're a self-starter, who's comfortable working mostly with a virtual team at Oatly – and the real life team of your customers!
- You’re energetic and resilient – you won’t let a “no” get you down. You brush yourself off and come back even more determined to win the next time.
