Key Account Executive – Coffee
We usually respond within two weeks
Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden back 30 or so years ago.
Our mission? To make it easier for people to eat better and live healthier lives without throwing the planet under the bus in the process. If that makes you want to stand up, fist-pump, and shout, “Yes!” or even just a mild “Cool, I’m into that”, then maybe you’d like to join us. (Fun fact: we were recently voted one of 2024's best places to work for a small organisation in the UK.)
With that, let’s talk about the role.
The Role
Coffee shops are our heartland, and we know there’s a great opportunity out there. This role will focus on winning business in influential independent coffee shops, small chains, and large head office accounts like hotel groups and contract catering. Here's what this person will be doing day to day to make that happen:
- Work closely with our commercial and coffee colleagues in Oatly Ireland to develop a target list of opportunities based on volume and brand influence.
- Develop great relationships with key players in the coffee shop industry in Dublin (shop owners, baristas, roasters, etc...).
- Be responsible for agreeing and managing contracts with independent coffee shops and small chains – including tracking performance and managing rebates for contracted coffee shops.
- Attend and sometimes manage channel and customer-specific trade shows and conferences with counterparts and/or event team.
Who You Are
If the below sounds like you, you could be the ideal person for this job:
- You have proven, demonstrable experience in persuasive selling and managing commercial contracts – and you're not afraid to pick up the phone and do some cold calling and prospecting.
- You need to have a full drivers licence and be comfortable working field work at least 60% of the time.
- You're an organisation whiz, with the proven ability to prioritise workload with a focus on those opportunities with greatest return on investment.
- You're an expert multitasker, able to adapt to changing priorities within a working day.
- You're confident using the standard software tools (Microsoft Office, etc...).
- Bonus points if you have a natural passion for coffee and you feel comfortable working with coffee experts in Ireland. More bonus points if you have experience working with the hospitality industry.
Another bulleted list felt redundant, so we wrote this long sentence with all the ways we sweeten the deal to work with us: 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays, carryover days and buy & sell scheme), car allowance, a bonus scheme, comprehensive health insurance, life insurance and income protection, free therapy so you can be kind to your mind, an epic office space in Portobello which comes with loads of snacks and breakfast (and amazing cappoatccinos), genuinely great co-workers who want to see the company and each other succeed, and a fridge full of the best non-dairy alternative in the world for your enjoyment.
One last plea from us: we love tech, and encourage you to use both personal expertise and resources like AI for your research. But please don't use AI to write your answers for you – please make sure these are written by you. We want to see your personality and thoughts so we know you're the best fit for the role. Thank you!
