QA Innovation Manager

We are looking for a QA Innovation Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for securing food safety and quality according to Oatly standards, customer requirements and laws/regulations in different innovation projects. The position reports to the Global QA Director.
Qualified candidates residing in Philadelphia, PA preferred due to business needs.
Here are the things we want to hire you to do:
- Secure the choice of equipment/contract manufacturer together with Sourcing Quality Assurance (SQA)
- Initiate and drive the risk assessment for product in a new product development project
- Work very closely with innovation and QA Engineers/resources at the production sites and Sourcing Quality Assurance (SQA)
- Secure Oatly quality standards when sourcing and implementing new manufacturers or externally produced products together with SQA
- Execute initial audits of external manufacturers and secure documentation, that is inspection of processes, compliance with applicable food laws/regulations, verification of HACCP plans and other standards
- Set the sampling plan according to risk analysis
- Be a part of creating a global quality manual and implementation of global processes and global systems; example Oatly PD flow (NPD process)
- Approximately 25% travel to manufacturing/supplier locations (1-2 times/month)
Here are the things we think you need:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent
- 5+ years Quality Management experience within the food industry
- Proven knowledge of food chemistry, process technology and food hygiene/microbiology
- Experience auditing (Quality, Food Safety, Process equipment, Health/Safety, and Environment), certified Lead auditor a plus
- HACCP and PCQI certifications preferred
- Knowledge of BRC and/or other GFSI standard
- Experience working with risk analysis, HACCP and Food Safety Management in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in Project Management
- Knowledge of Food legislation (in particular FDA/FSMA)
- Excellent English, verbally and written. Spanish and Portuguese are an advantage
If you have experience with Product commissioning and validation and NPD processes within the food industry it´s a huge plus!

The salary for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. Compensation may also include bonus, commission, or equity as applicable.
