You will take a crucial responsibility in the extensive production and sustainable growth that the company is facing. You will be the engine behind the manufacturing activities across the business through the network of site directors globally and secure the growth strategy as well as contribute overall to the business strategy and annual budget process.


Your core mission is to continuously create and implement best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processess, and procedures to aid and improve business performance in the overall production system. We need you to drive the process of creating a world class foundation for all continued oatsomeness!


You will also be upholding the Company’s Guiding Principles and be accountable for the overall direction and development of the manufacturing strategy and its alignment with the Company’s commitments and goals. 


More fun things you will do:

  • Ensure that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
  • Take ownership of the manufacturing policy, process, guidelinesand any associated documents.
    Lead, inspire and develop the Manufacturing function and their people.
  • Coordinate team activities to optimize cost performance of the plant through capital investment programs, optimizing operating working capital usage and minimizing waste through the development of a continuous improvement culture encompassing lean principles and clear strategic development.
  • Implement a customer focused operational culture delivering world class customer service levels.
  • Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
  • Review environmental strategies, as use of technological systems that support a more environmentally friendly approach, to be industry leader in sustainability.
  • Support, comply and ensure complicity with health & safety regulations, the Factory cookbookquality and environmental standards and all other company policies and procedures.
  • Provide design for manufacturing input at early stages in collaboration with PMO.


As a member of the global supply chain operations management team, the rols reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, Johan Rabe. The role holds six direct reports.



Besides having a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and being a great leader, we believe that you are a person who is eager to solve problems and enjoy a collaborative environment of change and fast growth. Further, we believe the right candidate has deep and long experience from manufacturing in an agile environment with operational excellence qualifications on an international arena, within a 24/7 food or pharma environment and a great track record of implementing cultural change. Also, a relevant experience of leading cross-functional and cross-company teams

You also have senior leadership experience and iactivelyinterested in own and others’ continuous personal development. You can also easily take a personal responsibility to contribute to Oatly’scollective goals of offering people solutions that improve their lives and ensure the future of the planet.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Masters within relevant area
  • Extensive experience of leading cross-functional and cross-company teams of managers within a global organization
  • Have a good ability to prioritize
  • Be able to coach, motivate, lead and support your team in a successful matter
  • Understanding of operational processes and controls 
  • Experience in managing OPEX and capital budgets
  • Self-motivated and willing to take bold initiatives to secure success
  • In-depth understanding of Lean-methodology
  • Ability to communicate with clarity, purpose and authenticity
  • Passionate about people, health and safety
